Hosting Chemistry Is Electric!

Chemistry Is Electric! is available for rental to schools, libraries, museums, research centers, corporations, and other institutions for educational purposes. The exhibit has a companion book that is available for purchase from our online publications catalog.

Specifications

  • Exhibit type: 2-dimensional panels meant for hanging or displaying on easels
  • Number of panels: 12
  • Panel dimensions (each panel):  47 in. x 35 in.
  • Panel weight (each panel): 12 lbs.
  • Total required wall space: 53 linear ft.

Shipment
The exhibit is shipped in 3 wheeled crates made of wood and fiberglass. The crates fit through standard doors and on standard elevators.  The total weight of the packed shipment is 350 lbs.

Setup
The panels can be hung on the wall or rested on sturdy easels. The panels can be hung by D-rings or by wire or nylon thread through two grommets at the top of each panel. The panels should be hung 6” apart. Setup requires 1 or 2 individuals and takes about 1–2 hours. Note: Easels, wire, and nylon thread are not supplied; D-rings are supplied.

Chemistry Is Electric! is free to host; however, hosts must pay the cost of standard ground shipping to the next destination. Hosts requesting special shipping arrangements may incur additional charges. Please contact us for details.
